Google will soon default to two-factor authentication on some accounts
Google has taken a new step to strengthen online security. The company said that by default two factor authentication will be turned on in the accounts of some users.
Whether the password is simple or difficult, some accounts will automatically turn on this two-level protection. As a result, this two-factor authentication may be required the next time you log in to a Google Account.
Google announced the new update in a blog post.
The blog says that two-factor authentication is currently the best way to ensure the security of users' accounts.
Two-factor authentication
This cyber security policy is strictly verified when a user logs in. No one can access the account just by entering the ID and password. Any further proof should be given to verify whether the specific user is logging in.
OTP is usually sent to the user's registered phone number at the time of login. Login will be completed only if you give that OTP. As a result, hackers will not be able to access any account even if they get the user's user ID and password.
